Important change in the project schedule: The go-live date for Fontus has been postponed to March 2027. The migration files will be made available in stages, the D20 documentation will be expanded, and there are still challenges on the customer side in the preparation phase.

As the intensity of the Fontus project increases – the revision of master data delivery for securities at WM Datenservice – it is becoming clear that the success of the migration depends on one factor that has not yet been sufficiently taken into account by many institutions: test management.

This article documents the current developments in the Fontus project of the WM Datenservice, which aims to modernise the delivery of master data for securities. Building on the efforts of the EDDy_neu project, Fontus aims to achieve a far-reaching revision and improvement of the data delivery processes.

Dieser Beitrag dokumentiert die aktuellen Entwicklungen beim Projekt Fontus des WM Datenservice, mit dem die Stammdatenanlieferung für Wertpapiere modernisiert werden soll. Aufbauend auf den Bemühungen des Projekts EDDy_neu, zielt Fontus darauf ab, eine tiefgreifende Überarbeitung und Verbesserung der Datenlieferprozesse zu erreichen.

Germany’s leading provider of financial market data, WM Datenservice, has launched a new project that builds on the previous efforts of the EDDY_neu project. An extensive revision of the master data delivery system for securities is now in the works under the name Fontus.
