The 3rd edition of the German-language videocast “Digitale Verwaltung um 11” by DPS focuses on the question “Blockchain in local government?”.
Tobias Guggenberger, Blockchain Consultant and Research Assistant at the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Information Technology (FIT), gives a brief introduction to the topic and shows where the technology is already being used in public administration. Florian Kühne, Head of Public Sector at DPS, then explains how blockchain technology can also benefit local government.
In addition, there was a compact overview of current developments in the field of administrative digitalisation. Topics here include the critical press comments on the implementation of the German Online Access Act.
