On September 20, 2024, Martin Birkel, Partner at DPS, and Jörg Henß, Deputy Head of Software Engineering at the FZI Research Center for Information Technology, presented their German-language lecture entitled “Opportunities in AI-supported management of Legacy IT” at the Confero Group’s Smart Solution Day in Frankfurt.
The focus was on the use of artificial intelligence to manage and modernize Legacy IT in the financial services industry. They made it clear that outdated IT systems, although often seen as “legacy”, are valuable resources that can be used more efficiently with AI-supported solutions. They showed how AI supports existing systems, accelerates development processes and reduces operational risks.
