Legacy IT division continues to grow – DPS specifically promotes the further training of its developer teams.
DPS is focussing on targeted training to further expand the expertise of its new developer teams in the field of legacy IT. With a deliberate and rather atypical focus on assembler, COBOL and PL/I, DPS offers young employees the opportunity to continue their education alongside training in ‘modern’ programming languages.
Regular training programmes offer new colleagues the opportunity to develop their skills in traditional programming languages in a targeted manner and thus strengthen their role in projects that rely on a stable, proven IT architecture. The area of legacy IT is of central importance here, as DPS supports numerous customers who want to efficiently develop their existing systems and adapt them to modern standards. In the coming years in particular, a migration of expertise is to be expected in financial institutions – and this is precisely where DPS’s range of services comes in.
‘Our training courses are a key part of our strategy to continuously expand our expertise in the field of legacy IT and make this area attractive to young talent,’ explains Thomas Kanold, Managing Partner at DPS. ‘This ensures that we can always meet the growing requirements of our customers at the highest level.’
DPS will continue to focus on the ongoing training of its employees in the future in order to further strengthen its market position as a leading service provider for legacy IT and modern IT transformations.
