The focus of the 4th edition of the German-language videocast “Digitale Verwaltung um 11” is the topic of sustainability in local government. Jan Kohlmeyer, Head of the Climate Protection Unit of the City of Stuttgart, presents the climate roadmap of the state capital in his contribution and shows in which areas municipalities can become active in terms of sustainability.
Karolina Kleiner presents the Stuttgart Climate Community. The online platform, funded by the Stuttgart Climate Innovation Fund, was launched to offer citizens a place to exchange ideas on the topics of urban greening, climate protection and sustainability.
In addition, the focus is on the effects of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) on municipalities and their own operations. Florian Kühne, Head of Public Sector at DPS, explains that many municipal companies could become subject to reporting requirements as early as 2024 and outlines measures that those responsible should take now.
