Research projects

Forschungsprojekte

DPS regularly participates in research projects together with partners from science and practice with the aim of developing, understanding and adapting future technologies, methods and business models for its own field of activity.

Here is an overview of some projects:

ECB innovation platform for the Digital Euro

The European Central Bank (ECB) is launching the next phase in the development of the Digital Euro with a new innovation platform. The aim is to test practical use cases – under real conditions and with strong partners from the European economy. DPS and INIT are among the companies involved and are contributing their expertise to a project that is particularly relevant to everyday life: ‘Conditional Payments via TapNGo’ in public transport.

SDIKA – Sichere Digitale Identitäten Karlsruhe

SDIKA is one of four showcase projects funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection on the topic of Self-Sovereign Identities (SSI). The aim of the project is to realise wide-ranging, cross-use-case identities in open ecosystems. As part of the project, DPS developed an open-technology IBAN credential platform that is compatible with common wallets and enables the secure exchange of user and contracting party data without third parties being able to see it.

Klima-Community Stuttgart

The Klima-Community is a project funded by the City of Stuttgart to build an interactive, socially networked, user-friendly and secure online community that allows citizens to coordinate climate action locally.

ibi-research

In a joint project with ibi research, DPS investigated the future of cross-border payments from the perspective of corporate clients in the financial sector. We will be happy to provide you with the results on request.
