Research projects


DPS regularly participates in research projects together with partners from science and practice with the aim of developing, understanding and adapting future technologies, methods and business models for its own field of activity.

Here is an overview of the current projects:

SDIKA – Sichere Digitale Identitäten Karlsruhe

SDIKA is one of four showcase projects funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection on the topic of Self-Sovereign Identities (SSI). The aim of the project is to realise wide-ranging, cross-use-case identities in open ecosystems.

Klima-Community Stuttgart

The Klima-Community is a project funded by the City of Stuttgart to build an interactive, socially networked, user-friendly and secure online community that allows citizens to coordinate climate action locally.


StudyCross Border Payments – die Zukunft des Auslandszahlungsverkehrs’ (together with ibi research)

In a joint project with ibi research, DPS investigated the future of cross-border payments from the perspective of corporate clients in the financial sector. The results of the study are available here.
